«Western Fuel and Energy Company (WFEC) announced the launch of its own network of filling stations. The first 20 gas stations are slated to open before the end of 2026. This was stated in an interview Korrespondent.net said Serhiy Belykh, Chief Operating Officer of Fenix Energy.
At the first stage, the company will focus on developing the network in western Ukraine. All gas stations are owned by WOG, and the facilities are undergoing a complete reconstruction. In fact, we are talking about the creation of new gas stations, Belykh said.
At the first stage, the company will focus on the west and center of Ukraine. Currently, DTEK is working on locations in eight oblasts.
«We are currently in the active phase. Work is currently underway on locations in Khmelnytskyi, Volyn, Lviv, Rivne, Ivano-Frankivsk, Vinnytsia, Ternopil, and Chernivtsi oblasts,» Bilykh noted.
According to him, the first FENIX energy filling station is expected to appear as early as late September to early October. At the same time, the company admits that not all of the planned facilities will be commissioned before the end of the year, as the priority at the initial stage will be fine-tuning the operation of the new network. Each filling station will have a convenience store and a café.
According to the specialized publication«NaftoRynok», one of the Fenix gas stations will be located in the village of Pantaliia near Dubno on the Kyiv – Chop highway, where the Ukr-Petrole gas station previously operated. Reconstruction is currently underway there.
Fenix energy will become ZPEK's first proprietary retail fuel project. Prior to this, the group developed its activities in the segments of import and wholesale trade of petroleum products. Over the past year, the company entered the TOP-10 importers of petroleum products in Ukraine. Earlier, the creation of a proprietary gas station network was announced by ZPEK co-founder and head Oleh Chykyda.
